REALTOR® Connections Trade Show

Join us on Wednesday, September 15th at Harborside Event Center for this year’s trade show and charity auction. The trade show begins at 4PM and winners of the silent and Chinese auction items will be announced between 6-6:30PM. Prior to the trade show a CORE Law class will be held from 1-4PM so if you need CE for license renewal, this is an excellent opportunity to take in a class before the show.

Flood Insurance Update

As previously reported, H.R. 5569, a bill to extend the authorization of the National Flood Insurance Program until September 20, 2010, passed the full US House of Representatives as a stand-alone bill on earlier this week. This is the bill we need the Senate to now take up and pass so the President can sign it and get NFIP back on track.

We have just been informed that the United States Senate adjourned for the week without passing an extension of the flood insurance program. We are now looking for a Senate vote when they return on Monday.

NAR has sent a letter to all US Senators urging quick passage of the House bill (HR 5569). We need all members to keep the pressure on thru the call for action at this VERY frustrating time.
